Editors Note: Ms. Wagenblast recently joined PFLAG Savannah as a member. Our backgrounds are amazingly similar. Growing up in NJ, in the shadow of New York City, the country's #1 media market, we both spent countless hours in college devoted to radio, had successful media careers, raised families, and eight years ago discovered what we had never shared over the years: we were both transwomen. She has been a very out and proud advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in local media for the past year and was invited by CBS News to share her story for International Pride Day. -Niki Jo Moran
